#TinyTipTues 22: Welcome Back Party!
22Welcome back everybody! Oh, how I’ve missed you so! Seriously, I’ve missed writing so much, but more importantly, I’ve missed connecting with you fine people – both readers and other bloggers – right here every week on Tiny Tip Tuesday.
If you haven’t heard by now, I guess you’re seeing it now.
Our brand new, completely upgraded from the ground up, website is alive and kicking! I’m so happy with how nicely it’s coming together, and I’m bursting at the seams with all of the wonderful things I’ve got planned over the next few months. Check out the Welcome Back post for more on the changes and improvements we’ve been working on!
Now let’s talk a bit about Tiny Tip Tuesday for a moment. If I’m reading my analytics data properly, there’s a definite peak in traffic on Tuesday, every week. And that’s not surprising of course, because it is a blog hop. But I’m realizing that Tiny Tip Tuesday is becoming much more than a blog hop or link party – it’s becoming a small community, and I’m so grateful for the wonderful contributors and loyal readers who make this blog hop possible every week (thank you!).
So, in light of this newfound identity, our weekly rendezvous will undergo a few changes updates:
Separate Tiny Tips
- I’ll still be sharing Tiny Tips with you all, but they’ll be in a separate post, appended with {#TinyTipTues} in the title.
- Then, I’ll add that post to the #TinyTipTues weekly link up (it will always be the first link).
- On the weeks that I don’t have a Tiny Tip to share with you, I’ll try to do a ’round-up’ style post, with the best links on a specific topic. (I’m all ears if there’s anything specific you’d like to see!)
NOTE: There is NO Tiny Tip post from me this week, but I’ll be back next week!
Weekly Community Gathering
The New Title Format
(#TinyTipTues ##: Topic Title)
- I’m making a hashtag for our blog hop, so if you’re on Twitter, expect more action there every week. You can follow along @NaturesNurture.
- I’m now adding the party number to the title, just to make things easier and more organized for all of us.
- Every week will have a topic-specific title (ie: this week it’s ‘Welcome Back Party!’)
Top Links Featured
I’ve been featuring the top 3 most-clicked links every week here at Tiny Tip Tuesday, which has been great! Except that sometimes, I have a favorite link, which didn’t necessarily make it to the top 3. So instead, I’m just going to feature two links:
- the #1 link with the most clicks
- my favorite link (if my favorite is also #1, I’ll share my second favorite)
Not only that, but the 2 featured links will also be featured near the top of my sidebar for the rest of that week! *Check out The Greening of Westford and Young Nesters’ buttons underneath the subscribe box in the sidebar
New Button
Ok, so I haven’t actually started working on it yet, BUT it’s in the pipeline. I’ve got a terrible case of creativity block and I’m drawing a blank on this one. Hopefully I can have it complete by next week’s party. If you have any ideas or input for designing the new button, I’d love to hear them!
So, if you haven’t seen the new site until now, or haven’t shared your feedback with us yet (and even if you have!), what do you think about the new site’s design and usability? I’d really like some honest to goodness comments and suggestions, so I can keep doing what I can to make it better for all of us. Thanks!
It’s Tiny Tip Tuesday!
Now for the blog hop! Here are this week’s featured links:
The #1 Link:
Kristina from The Greening of Westford shares her list of the basic ingredients she uses to make up some very easy homemade cleaners. If you’re looking to replace your commercial cleaners with homemade, non-toxic alternatives, check out this great list!
My Favorite Link:
Margaux from Young Nesters shares a super easy and fun way to bring science into the kitchen for the little ones, using non-toxic ingredients we all have in our kitchen. I can’t wait to try some of these ideas with Baby Y this week!
Congratulations! Feel free to grab the featured button below! Your posts will also be added to my “Featured on Tiny Tip Tuesday!” board on Pinterest, as well as shared on Facebook and Twitter. Your blog button will also be featured on my sidebar for the rest of the week. Thanks again for linking up with us! ![]()
