Have you started your Spring cleaning yet? I’m visiting my mom this week, and we’re planning on tackling some of those necessary cleaning tasks to get her house in tip top shape for the new season. We’ve got a pretty solid plan of attack that we’re confident will help us get through this in one piece, but we weren’t always this optimistic. In planning our cleaning routine, to be honest, we became a bit overwhelmed and felt almost defeated. Thankfully, we got out of our rut, thanks to some wonderful tips we found in an amazing book I came across this past week!

Have you been hearing a lot about those monthly subscription boxes lately? There are quite a few companies out there, and I’ve always been interested in trying one out. So when I had the chance to try out a box from The Homegrown Collective, I was more than thrilled!
Spring is here! Spring is here! Spring is HERE!
I’m quite excited, if you can’t tell, because this winter was so darn long, but Spring has sprung and there’s not going back now.
Our garden is going in a little late this year, as we’ve been (and will be) traveling for a bit, so that’s going to have to wait. But what I have been working on is doing some Spring Cleaning, trying to get this house freshened up and ready for the new season!
Ever since I’ve been using the Oil Cleansing Method to wash my face, I’ve stopped using commercial facial cleansers. I love the oil cleansing method and recommend it to everyone, so it’s no secret that I’m definitely not in the market for any facial cleansers or skincare products.
However, one of the most common questions I do receive on the OCM post has to do with what type of facial cleanser I recommend to use for the nights that you don’t use OCM. Until now, I didn’t really have a straightforward answer; I just sort of pushed in the direction of an all natural cleanser, but never had a brand to really stand behind.

When I was pregnant the first time around, there was one thing that I’ve always regretted not looking into at the time: compression hosiery and belly support bands. Thankfully, I didn’t get the achy, swollen feet and legs that plague most pregnant mommas usually by the third trimester; but what I did experience was a feeling that my belly was just too, well… heavy!
