As I’m nearing the end of my pregnancy, I’ve fallen into a nighttime routine of sipping a cup of hot tea and catching up on some work. It’s the most peaceful part of my day after all the craziness that comes along with being pregnant and caring for two kids under 4. 🙂
It’s the third and final week of my Earth Mama Angel Baby Challenge, and this week was all about the their natural, organic comforting teas! Earth Mama Angel Baby teas are great for pregnancy, postpartum, breastfeeding, and beyond. This week I’ve been trying out the Morning Wellness Tea and the Heartburn Tea. (If you’re in Canada, like I am, these are called Mama’s Morning Tea and Mama’s Tummy Tea).
I’m no stranger to a cup of hot tea, as is the norm for anyone with Middle Eastern roots, but herbal tea is an area that I’ve just recently started dabbling in. If you’re new to herbal teas, the line from Earth Mama Angel Baby is a great place to start. They’re certified organic, non-GMO, gluten-free, and naturally caffeine free. They also taste absolutely delicious!
Earth Mama Angel Baby Organic Teas
The Morning Wellness Tea (Mama’s Morning Tea) is meant to ease morning sickness, but can be enjoyed whether or not you’re pregnant. With ginger, spearmint, chamomile, and a twist of orange peel, this tea is great for easing nausea, queasiness, upset stomach, or travel tummy, so it’s good for the whole family. The flavors blend so perfectly, and it tastes wonderful – even my 3 year old liked it!
The Heartburn Tea (Mama’s Tummy Tea) was made specifically for tackling heartburn in pregnancy, but of course can be used by anyone to help put out the fire. Made with marshmallow root, lemon balm, chamomile, spearmint, and red raspberry leaf, this tea is the perfect after-dinner soothing drink to help keep that nasty heartburn at bay. Apparently, this tea is also good for treating sore throat, scratchy cough, and diarrhea, though I haven’t had to use it for any of these yet. I love this tea so much, it’s become the star of my nightly tea-time routine!
Aside from the lovely taste and soothing herbs in these teas, my favorite part of Earth Mama Angel Baby teas is that they come in biodegradable tea bags, and the cartons are 100% recycled and recyclable – yay!
